The company runs a centralized account for all its members from an administration office in Voortrekker Street Bellville Cape Town. All marketing is controlled from its head office in Bedfordview Johannesburg.
The Buying Exchange Company (Pty) Ltd trades under two separate trading divisions, namely the "TRADEZONE" DIVISION catering for the Wholesale market and the "FOODZONE" DIVISION catering for the Retail market with the National Buying Office being run from the Head Office in Bedfordview.
Stocks are supplied to the member stores through direct drop shipment directly from the supplier or manufacturer to the stores.
The membership has grown from the 5 members in March 1999 to over 170 outlets and currently the company aims to increase these numbers rapidly in all provinces of South Africa.
